As President & CEO of Freedom Capital Markets and Chairman of ITS (International Trading System), I had the privilege of attending the inaugural Kazakhstan Economic Freedom Conference in Astana on September 17-18, 2024.
This high-level event, themed "The International Financial System in a New World," brought together global financial leaders and policymakers to discuss key shifts in global finance and Kazakhstan's emerging role in the international economic landscape.
During a thought-provoking panel, I joined distinguished leaders, including Renat Bekturov, CFA (Governor of AIFC (Astana International Financial Centre), Sergey Lukyanov (Freedom Finance), Marius Dan (Franklin Templeton), Ayuna Nechaeva (LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) and Dr. Zhao Yang (CICC). Together, we explored the vital roles institutional and retail investors play in shaping Kazakhstan's stock market and delved into significant developments such as the 2023 IPO of Hidroelectrica in Romania.
